About Our Company
Formhals, Inc., centrally located in Knoxville, IL, specializes in the cleaning, installation, maintenance and repair of plate & frame heat exchangers.
The company's founder, Ron Formhals, and his wife, Joyce, started Formhals, Inc. in 1982. Ron is the current president and CEO of the company. Initially the company performed industrial maintenance, repairing and maintaining predominantly welding equipment for several large manufacturers in the Midwest. At one point we were asked by a maintenance foreman at a John Deere plant in Dubuque, IA if we would be interested in looking into reconditioning "some of these stainless steel plates we have." And so it began.
In 1998 the decision was made to focus exclusively on the servicing of plate & frame heat exchangers.
Our crews have traveled as far as Oregon and Georgia to perform our service. We are proud to say that today we have over 100 satisfied customers and the number is growing.
